After becoming disillusioned with the local music scene, vocalist Luke ‘P.I’ Andersen and guitarist John Barker were seeking a new alternative. Unable to find the fix they craved, they decided to do it themselves. Local guitarist Aidan Keenan was quickly recruited followed by Belfast boy Michael Cleland on bass.
With influences ranging from the garage rock bands of the 60’s to 90’s Britpop and all the way up to the indie rock of the noughties, The Daytona Riots have rapidly developed a pacey and riff packed rock and roll sound.
