TUNE Softer Still - Company
Softer Still are an indie dream-pop band from Shepperton, Surrey consisting of Grant Williams (lead vocals/Guitar), Ellie O'Shea (backing vocals/Bass), Alexander Williams (Guitar), Ollie Kitson (Drums).
'Company' is the fourth single to come from the indie dream poppers, following prevous singles'New Age', 'Bliss' & 'Eulogy' , released in 2016 They have attracted press attention from the likes of NME, Clash, BBC Introducing and Steve Lamacq as well as catching the eye of American jangly shoegaze outfit DIIV, who invited Softer Still to support them at London's Electric Ballroom in September, an invite that gladly accepted.
The band say that 'Company is a simple pop song about first love, which in reality just turns out to be lust and eventual heartbreak.' which is something I'm sure we can all relate to.
Softer Still's debut EP is out now and you can catch them live on Sat 14 Jan at The Lexington, London as part of Pandamonium Festival 2017.
'Stunning new single...Anchored by a twisting guitar riff, it’s a delightfully breezy and laid-back sunbathing anthem with an undeniably catchy melody'
'Lush, beautifully composed dream pop, the Surrey newcomers are reminiscent of Beach House, Galaxie 500, or perhaps even early Wild Nothing. Chiming, emotionally gripping shoegaze with lysergic feel.'
- Clash Mag
'the four-piece glide into view in an ethereal shimmer of shoegazey guitars and light vocals'
