TUNE shy for shore - Relying On
SFS (shy for shore) is a synth-pop project by Mari Norden and Oz Page. Their home-made pop creations are envisioned and roughly recorded in Oslo. Bouncing, swirling synths meet glassy vocals and drowning guitars, helping SFS channel a dance-ready melancholia.
Their first single this year is Relying On. Hopeful first moments of a relationship are unveiled “You noticed I was also leaving now, we can walk together if you want?” SFS tracks aren’t written so much as scored. 80s cop shows and high school prom footage provide visual catalysts in the process.
Having formed in East London, the duo had always intended to be a reverb-drenched shoe gaze outfit- but when 2013 single ‘Then the Heartbreak’ found its way in to Norwegian T.V, Cinema and radio- there was never any doubt the duo would be making soundtrack-ready film music for years to come.
‘Relying On' is out 13th March 2020.
