TUNE Phoebe Coco - Look What The Cat Dragged In
The third single from Phoebe Coco out on Sharp Attack records on Friday the 6th of December
Birds are flying, the night sky is thinning, head is spinning, and the moon still showing- 'Look What the Cat Dragged In' was written waking up in London after a night out- the finer details of which are lost to the witching hours. A feeling known to many; we try to piece together the fragments to make sense of the hours unaccounted for. This single is the third single from Phoebe Coco's debut album, out next year on Sharp Attack Records.
Visions of the song are captured on tape on a ‘real life’ night out, as a handheld steady cam is passed around on the dancefloor capturing scenes of oblivion, of friends and strangers, and flitting scenes of rogue shenanigans on the streets of East London as the spirits of the night possess us.
Piano and a driving kick lead the song into an almost trancelike dream, with the pulsing synths and swirling harmonies enticing us further in. Co-produced by Marc Makarov, Vanessa Ann Redd (of Sharp Attack Records) and Phoebe herself, it has been mixed by multi grammy award winning Eduardo De La Paz, and mastered by Kevin Tuffy.
