TUNE Albert Gold - Oxygen
Albert Gold is a sweet, sweet soul man from Hackney in East London. On April 28th 2017 he is releasing a four-track EP stuffed full of brand new magical musical goodness, the first of three Extended Play releases slated to come out over the next year.
The lead track is ‘Oxygen’ which, much like previous underground blog smashes ‘Into The Wild’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, was co-written with Sacha Skarbek (and Tom Baxter) in Kensaltown Studios. ‘Oxygen’ is also just one of several elegantly effervescent pop / R’n’B nuggets Albert has been gently stockpiling with various creative cohorts over the past eighteen months, and the ‘Oxygen’ EP is completed by two thoroughly slinky co-writes with hip-hop newbie Strike and a frankly deranged remix by Happy Cat Jay.
Bolstered by live shows for Blackjack Ldn, Communion, Tipping Point, BMI / The Fix, In Stereo, Good Karma and Club Fandango, and emboldened by consistent airplay support from Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing London, Albert Gold celebrates the launch of ‘Oxygen’ with these live shows here:
May 3rd 2017: London Camden Assembly (w/ Kudu Blue)
May 20th 2017: Brighton East Street Tap (The Great Escape)
“A remarkably infectious introduction. Controlled, assured songwriting, it finds beauty in darkness.” - Clash
