TUNE Squaring Circles - Inresolve
Melbourne electronic duo Squaring Circles share their debut album Motion, out now on Best & Fairest Records, with new single 'Inresolve'.
Squaring Circles is the experimental project of Brendan Anderson and Julien Huynh. Defined by the desire of capturing spontaneity, this group characterise themselves in their approach to the recording process acting as their writing process. Having spent the last year quietly releasing mind-melting tracks, the mysterious Melbourne two-piece are ushering in 2019 with a new track, “Inresolve”, taken from their debut album Motion, out now on Best & Fairest.
Motion is an eight track journey across the breadth of Squaring Circles’ muse, combining organic sounds, pounding rhythms, ringing synths and almost subliminal melodies in a way reminiscent of acts such as Caribou, Boards of Canada and even early Tame Impala.
The pair have also decided to finally unveil their experimental project for a special, one-off performance at Boney in Melbourne on March 2nd. In line with their ambitious vision, they have created a unique electronic audio-visual set to serve as the debut Squaring Circles live experience. Promising to be a sensory overload, this performance will see the group branch out of their normal music sphere and delve into the electronic world accompanied by specially curated visuals.
