South London Jazz favourite Laura Misch returns with an exclusive new track 'Hibernate' in aid of London's homelessness issue. The track, which was self produced by Misch, perfectly brings together her skills as not only a vocalist but also as a saxophonist. All proceeds will go to London based charity Crisis.
About Crisis:
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. They support people out of homelessness for good. Crisis do this through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. They offer one to one support, advice, and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.
Laura Misch's comments on Hibernate
"It was pretty freezing in London, so naturally I wanted to reflect that and Hibernate was about creating the most glacial synth-saturated sound world i could, so rather than a song I see Hibernate as an instrumental with a sung hook.
Whilst producing I was getting the train up and down London listening to my mixes of the track a lot and giving out money to the increasing amount of homeless people when i could, but never feeling like it was enough. living in the UK you are most confronted with the weathers extremes when your aware of the estimated 300,000 people who are homeless - hibernation is a luxury.
I couldnāt stop thinking about this when producing the song so have decided that all proceeds from the tracks sales on Bandcamp will go to homeless shelters."
