After a gentle walk at Southern Down, Vale of Glamorgan, this September, I sat on a hill overlooking the breathtaking Dunraven Bay and the words of this song began to form. I quickly scribbled them into my notebook, and by the time I had walked down through the bracken and hedgerows, the words had taken on a melody. Percussionist Andy Constable, adds a clay bodied Tabla, that drives the song all the way though, with an undulating beat, like the ebb and flow of the sea. As the track came together, the incredibly talented Al Steele, opened it up, by laying down a beautiful piano and bass accompaniment, that weaves in and out of the song. For me its about longlasting love survivng life's storms, I love to sing its simple emtional harmony, and was delighted to use a Travis style picking I recently learnt, that fits the song perfectly.
